This
fancy, frothy, lacy petticoat of the softest handkerchief linen
is one of the most beautiful that I have seen. It is lavishly
embellished with very textured white-on-white embroidery in various
designs, wide lace insertions. 21" deep of intricate work,
including the eyelets for ribbon. 4" of lace at hemline. The 21" of
lace work has underflounce with 1 1/2" lace edging . The front fits
smoothly, has original cotton drawstring in back and 4 small pleats.
Also an oval shaped monogram "S" on left side. 27" waist, 34"

This
linen garment is unique because it is a fancy linen blouse with
attached undergarment or short petticoat. Fancy whitework and lace on
the large collar, hidden buttons to waist, then 11 miniature
buttons to hips with a scalloped strip. The 3/4 sleeves edged with
scallops and lace. The A line skirt shortest length 17" and increases
gradually to 32", then 34" in front and back. Hemline is scalloped with
punchwork above the scallops. The full, blousy front of the blouse up
to 39" bust, should fit loosely. The waist 24 1/2", 14" across
shoulders. Very good and clean condition, 2 tiny holes on lower skirt

This
Edwardian A line style, frothy, lacy petticoat of pristine linen
is exceptional. with 11" of lace at hemline and the palest pink silk
ribbon in lace eyelets. An additional flounced ruffle under the
lace. It is so pretty and nice, must have been a wedding
petticoat. What a lovely summer skirt it would be! Waist size from 28" to 29 1/2". Waist is plain in front and slight gathers on both sides in back with drawstring, and fits smoothly in back as well as front. Length 34" Excellent condition. Early
hand stitched gown has simple eyelet trim around neck, down
front to waist and on sleeve cuffs. A large size, more than 50" around bustline, 18" neck circumference, 20" across gathered shoulders, 53" long . Very full gathers at neck and shoulders. Large
waist size, very ornate Edwardian petticoat, white-on-white
heavily embroidered handkerchief linen could be worn as a fancy
skirt. More than 1/2 of the skirt is embroidery. The wide waistband is
32" and has two button closures in back. Very full 20" deep
flounce has a lined flounce underneath that has 5" of vertical pintucks
all around. Very good and clean condition There are 3 or 4 tiny old
mends and a couple of small holes on left side near the embroidered
flounce. The underskirt has a small hole. A couple of places at hemline
that are uneven. None of these minor flaws are very noticeable and
don't detract from the overall beauty and wearability of this lovely

The wide short sleeves have 4 rows of the mixed lace and an applique' on each shoulder. The lower area has 2 rows of whitework inserts, one row of lace and a wide ruffle with whitework.
