Stunning
early 1900's dress of black silk satin with lily of the valley print.
The neckline, front and back has elaborate red velvet with jet beading
over the velvet. The red velvet is also seen on the sleeve cuffs and
belt. The reverse side of the belt is the same fabric as the dress. The
condition of the silk satin is very good. The black silk insert, barely
visible on the bodice is not original, although 2 wide original pieces
of the satin joins together over it, almost covering it.This gorgeous
dress looks French to me, but there is no label, so I can't be sure. A
couple of tears in silk bodice lining and the skirt silk lining has
large tears. Overall, very good condition with the exception of
the lining. 33" bust, 26" waist, 11" across shoulders, some additional
room in gathered sleeves. Full view Side view Back view Back detail Order# dr3105 $475.00 |
